Beautiful tall and thin English made Grandfather Clock.
This is a very unusual tall and thin clock made by the Elliot clock company of London, England in the 1980-90's. The case is a combination of solid wood and polished mahogany veneer finish. The clock is set upon an additional 23 CM high pedestal. The case has pleasing and subline trim details that will blend in with any home style.
Elliot clock movements are quality made movements. Like this one, they have extra thick solid brass plates which is an initial indicator of a quality made movement. This one is quarter chiming with an option for either the Westminister or Whittington chimes through a selector switch on the rear of the movement. The dial is two part with a brass plate with raised corner spandrels. Above the movement is "Tempus Fugit" which latin for "Time Flies".
If you choose the higher price, I will provide a 1 year warranty on movement and I provide insurance documentation. Delivery and setup are extra. With the setup, I teach you how to setup the clock and provide basic clock ownership oversight.
