Excellent thin modern German grandfather clock made by the Emil Schmeckenbecher clock company. They were in business from 1948-1996.

The case mahogany veneer finished with multiple recessed, beaded and carved exterior trim. The clock case is one piece with two doors. The upper door in front of the clock dial is with a twist latch and larger glass door in the middle section is fully lockable.

The movement is solid brass and chimes on the quarter hour with a Westminster melody on solid steel chime rods. The chiming is not loud. Both the quarter hour and full hour chimes can be manually silenced. The movement is signed by Emil Schmeckenbecher. The movement can be accessed through a rear panel.

The clock dial is a two part brass plate with an overlaying hour chapter ring with Roman hour numerals. This has the Schmeckenbecher logo and 4 corner fancy spandrels. The clock hands are steel cut. The movement has been serviced and tested. It is running with good time and chiming.

If you choose the higher price, I will provide a 1 year warranty on the movement and I will provide you with clock documentation.
